Sample answer:

I react to situations rather than being stressful. I want to make the situations not to be stress for anybody. If a situation seems overwhelming, I mentally break it up into smaller steps and just focus on reaching each one on the way to accomplishing the larger task. Once I had a situation that in the same week i had to submit two projects which is very pressure to me. As i was skilled in multiple tasks, i just break down all the works i have in to smaller assignments and just worked one by one to complete the whole task. By this way i handled my stressful situation and submitted my projects within the due time.

Ofcourse, such situations helps me to stay motivated and productive.

I am a fast learner, as I had to learn a totally new operating system in my last job and I was up and running within a couple of weeks.

As you require someone who can perform wide range of administrative work, I have a track record of carrying different tasks efficiently and effectively.

I have the right combination of skills and experiance for this job. I also bring the additional quality of strong analytical and problem solving ability as shown by my introduction of a more efficient work flow system at some company.

Why they ask this and what they are looking for:

This question "What areas would you like to further develop professionally?" will uncover whether you are interested and knowledgeable about your own development and as such will can be a cloaked attempt to discover your weaknesses.

A common target of the question is to discover how motivated you are to extend yourself. If you are motivated to learn, then you are probably more motivated to do the job well.

How to answer this:

First show that you are concerned and active about your own development. You can indicate how development has worked for your in the past.

You're right, continued learning and development is important and I continue to work to improve key skills.

Do answer the question, of course, but do not show gaping holes in your skill set and especially those in key areas required in the job. A good trick is to talk about developing your skills in new areas that will be of future benefit to the company.

For example : I am in programming now and love the work, but one day I would like to develop into a management role.

The aim of a group or party must be

• The mission or purpose of the group - what business they are in.

• The strategies for how they will get from where they are today to where they are headed; these are broadly stated, like a 50,000-foot overview, and are typically few in number, usually no more than 3-5 key areas of focus.

When an interviewer asks "What do you do to improve your knowledge", because it reflects the major thought process of a person and the way a person gains knowledge and the level to which one is accustomed to the current happenings in the world.

In my sense knowledge is not very much obtained through books or any websites. We can give some exercise to the brain so that we can gain knowledge.


It is essential to update oneself in order to cope up with this competitive world. First of all you should keep yourself updated with the new technological developments so that if the interviewer asks something concerning the current affairs, you can answer them.You can say that you visit various forums, blogs to keep yourself updated and improve your knowledge. When asked "what about this job interests you", the interviewer wants to know why you decided to apply specifically for this job and why do you consider this position fitting you and your career plans.

The best bet is to take the most important element of the said job and talk about it.

For example if the job requires effective team work capabilities, you may construct your answer in this way:

Question: What is the 'thing' that interests you about this job?

Answer: One of the things that are of my best interests in this job is the opportunity to work in a team environment. I always wanted to work with hard-working, professional, experienced people. I love contributing the team effort, bringing out the best in myself and in my teammates for fulfilling our work goals and reaching top results.

I trust that I can perform great by applying sound principles of teamwork as I did in my previous jobs. I seek timely and consistent feedback designed to improve not only my performance as well but the team’s performance as well. I consult with people, try my best and treat everyone positively/equally.
