India slips to 7th position on the business optimism ranking.

The results of Grant Thornton’s International Business Report (IBR), a quarterly global business survey, reveal that business optimism in India has slipped from 2nd position in the last quarter to 7th position in the 3rd quarter of 2017.

An organelle called Eyespot allows some protists to detect light. It allows the cells to sense light direction and intensity and respond to it by swimming either towards the light (positive phototaxis) or away from the light (negative phototaxis).

Eyespot is a photoreceptive organelle found in the flagellate or (motile) cells of green algae and other unicellular photosynthetic organisms such as euglenids.

Eyespot-mediated light perception helps the cells in finding an environment with optimal light conditions for photosynthesis. Eyespots are the simplest and most common "eyes" found in nature, composed of photoreceptors and areas of bright orange-red pigment granules.

Helioseismology is the study of the solar interior using observations of waves on the Sun's surface. It has done much to improve our understanding of the interior of the Sun, testing the physical inputs used to model stellar interiors and providing a detailed map of the Sun's structure and internal rotation.
