In pursuance of India’s Act East policy, Indian Naval Ship Sahyadri is on an overseas deployment to the South East Asia and Southern Indian Ocean. The ship would be on a port visit to Moresby from June 12 to 15. Telangana has introduced a logo for identifying vehicles driven by persons with hearing impairment and has become the first state in the country to do so. 

The logo was designed by city-based graphic designer Manikanta Annapragada who was the first person to obtain a driving licence under the ‘hearing impaired’ category in the country.

The logo consists of a hearing impaired mark along with text saying, “Driver is deaf — Please watch out”.

1. Filing an RTI application with the Delhi government is now just a click away. Delhi became the second state to launch e-RTI portal that will enable citizens to file online Right to Information (RTI). Maharashtra is the first state to launch the online RTI platform.

2. The portal launched recently will enable citizens to file RTI and seek information related to 172 departments of the Delhi government including the office of the CM and his ministers.

3. The e-RTI portal, which has been designed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), includes filling of application, payment of fees and getting replies online.

• to monitor and review school performance and to report on it to the Director-General, parents of students at the school and staff.

• to develop, maintain and review curriculum for the school.

• to develop and review education policies at the school.

• to establish budgetary policies for the school and approve the school budget.

• to establish policies for the efficient and effective use of school assets and the management of financial risk.

• to develop relationships between the school and the community and between the school and community organisations.

• to make recommendations to the Director-General on issue affecting the school and to give effect to the Director-General’s directions.

• to encourage parent participation in their children’s learning; and

• to exercise any other function given to the board under this Act or any other
Territory law.
