In the word 'MATHEMATICS', we treat the vowels AEAI as one letter.

Thus, we have MTHMTCS (AEAI).

Now, we have to arrange 8 letters, out of which M occurs twice, T occurs twice and the rest are different.

Number of ways of arranging these letters = 8!/(2! x 2!)= 10080.

Now, AEAI has 4 letters in which A occurs 2 times and the rest are different.

Number of ways of arranging these letters =4!/2!= 12.

Required number of words = (10080 x 12) = 120960

We have to find number of permutations of 4 objects out of 6 objects.

This number is 6P4= 360

Therefore, cards can be sent in 360 ways.

Let the total capacity of tank be 90 liters.
Capacity of tank filled in 1 minute by K = 3 liters.
Capacity of tank filled in 1 minute by L = 15 liters.
Therefore, capacity of the tank filled by both K and L in 1 minute = 18 liters.
Hence, time taken by both the pipes to overflow the tank = 90/18 = 5 minutes.

Substitute sensible numbers and work out the problem. Then change the numbers back to letters. For example if the machine puts 6 caps on bottles in 2 minutes, it will put 6 /2 caps on per minute, or (6 /2) x 60 caps per hour. Area of the rectangular floor = l x b = (b + 25) × b

According to the question,

(b + 15) (b + 8) = (b + 25) × b

b2 + 8b + 15b + 120 = b2 + 25b

2b = 120

b = 60 m.

l = b + 25 = 60 + 25 = 85 m.

Area of the floor = 85 × 60 = 5100 sq.m.
