Quantitative Aptitude - Arithmetic Ability Questions

A : B = 60 : 45.

A : C = 60 : 40.

B/C = (B/A*A/C) = (45/60*60/45) = 45/40 = 90/80 = 90:80

B can give C 10 points in a game of 90.

Let quantity of mixture be x liters.

Suppose a container contains x units of liquid from which y units are taken out and replaced by Water. After operations , the quantity of pure liquid = x1-yxn units, Where n = no of operations . 

So, Quantity of Milk = x1-6x2  

Given that, Milk : Water = 9 : 16 

=> Milk : (Milk + Water) = 9 : (9+16)

=> Milk : Mixture = 9 : 25 

 Therefore, x1-6x2x=925

=> x = 15 liters

Since it is an isosceles trapezium

So angle C = angle D = x

let A = 180 –D = 180 –x (since AB is parallel to CD)

B = 180-x

A+C = 180 –x + x = 180 degrees (Property of cyclic quadrilateral)

ABCD is cyclic parallelogram with AB // CD and AD // BC

Considering angles A = C = y (Property of parallelogram) and B=D = x Also since it is cyclic A+C = B+D = 180 degrees

So x=y=90 degrees And also opposite sides are equal being a parallelogram

Thus ABCD is a rectangle

Here x is replaced by the first interval of given time
here i.e 4
Case 1 : (5*x + 15)*(12/11)
(5*4 +15)*(12/11)
(20+15)*(12/11)
35*12/11=420/11=38 2/11 min.
Therefore they are right angles at 38 2/11 min .past4
Case 2 : (5*x-15)*(12/11)
(5*4-15)*(12/11)
(20-15)*(12/11)
5*12/11=60/11 min=5 5/11min
Therefore they are right angles at 5 5/11 min.past4.

number of cubes=(18 x 18 x 18) / (3 x 3 x 3) = 216
