Let the incomes of A and B be 3P and 4P.

If each saves Rs. 100 per month, then their expenditures = Income - savings = (3P - 100) and (4P - 100).

The ratio of their expenditures is given as 1 : 2.

Therefor, (3P - 100) : (4P - 100) = 1 : 2

Solving, We get P = 50. Substitute this value of P in 3P and 4P.

Thus, their incomes are : Rs.150 and Rs.200

P : Q = 85000 : 15000 = 86 : 15 = 17 : 3 .

Let l = 9 ft.

Then l + 2b = 37

=> 2b = 37 – l = 37 – 9 = 28

b = 28/2 = 14 ft.

Area = lb = 9 × 14 = 126 sq. ft.

As minute hand covers, 60 degrees

Minute hand covers 4800/60 = 80°

Ratio of times taken by P & Q = 100 : 130 = 10:13

Let Q takes x days to do the work

Then, 10:13 :: 23:x

=> x = 23x13/10

=> x = 299/10

P's 1 day's work = 1/23

Q's 1 day's work = 10/299

(P+Q)'s 1 day's work = (1/23 + 10/299) = 23/299 = 1/13

Hence, P & Q together can complete the work in 13 days.

There are total 9 places out of which 4 are even and rest 5 places are odd.

4 women can be arranged at 4 even places in 4! ways.

and 5 men can be placed in remaining 5 places in 5! ways.

Hence, the required number of permutations  = 4! x 5! = 24 x 120 = 2880

Volume of the large cube = 33+43+53 = 216 cu.cm.
