Since Pooja and Shipra are twins so their ages be same. Let their ages be x and age of Mounika be y , then 

           x+x = y    -------(1) 

 and   x-3y-3=27⇒7x-2y=15 

Now, from  equation (1), 

         7x - 4x = 15  =>  x = 5

So the age of Shipra 3 years hence will be 5+3 = 8 years

Suppose total votes polled is x

Speed of train relative to jogger = 45 - 9 = 36 km/hr.
= 36 x 5/18 = 10 m/sec.

Distance to be covered = 260 + 140 = 400 m.

Time taken = 400/10 = 40 sec.

Let the speed of boat and stream be x and y kmph respectively.

According to question

d/x+y + d/x-y = 5h 15m or 21/4 hrs ......(i)

and 2d/x-y = 7...... (ii)

From eq. (i) and (ii)

2d/x+y = 7/2

Hence, Amith will take to row 2d km distance downstream in 7/2 hrs

= 3.5 hrs

= 3 hrs 30 min.

Let the ratio amount be 'p'

7p - 3p = 2700

4p = 2700

p = 675

R's Share = 675 × 6 = Rs. 4050

After 10 days, the remaining food would be sufficient for the 1000 students for 20 more days

-->If 1000 more students are added, it shall be sufficient for only 10 days (as the no. of students is doubled, the days are halved).

Substitute sensible numbers and work out the problem. Then change the numbers back to letters. For example if the machine puts 6 caps on bottles in 2 minutes, it will put 6 /2 caps on per minute, or (6 /2) x 60 caps per hour. Putting letters back this is 60c/m.If you divide the required number of caps (b) by the caps per hour you will get time taken in hours. This gives bm/60c

Let the three consecutive odd numbers be x, x+2, x+4

Then,

x + x + 2 + x + 4 = 93

=> 3x + 6 = 93

=> 3x = 87

=> x = 29 => 29, 31, 33 are three consecutive odd numbers.

Therefore, the middle number is 31.
