Quantitative Aptitude - Arithmetic Ability Questions

The following arrangements satisfy all 3 conditions.

Arrangement 1: 3 books in a row; 12 rows.

Arrangement 2: 4 books in a row; 9 rows.
Arrangement 3: 6 books in a row; 6 rows.
Arrangement 4: 9 books in a row; 4 rows.
Arrangement 5: 12 books in a row; 3 rows.

Therefore, the possible arrangements are 5.

P.W= Amount – (T.D)

Time = 100×TDPW×R

(300 – 101)/11 = 199/11 = 18 1/11

18 Numbers.

Total quantity of sugar = 45 + 30 = 75

Gain or loss can be calculated as

9.75 x 75 - (30 x 9 + 45 x 10)

= 731.25 - 720

= 11.25

Hence, in the overall transaction, Rishi got Rs. 11.25 gain.

Let initial quantity of milk & water in the mixture are 5x & 4x
2 litres water is added.
Hence,
New quantity of milk & water will be 5x & (4x+2)
ATQ,
5x/(4x+2) = 10/9
x/(4x+2) = 2/9 9x = 8x + 4
x=4
Hence,
New amount of water in the mixture = 4x+2 = (4*4) + 2 = 18 litres.

Total number of possible ways = 9C3 = 84 ways

Required atleast one girl in the group of three = total possible ways - ways in which none is girl

None of the members in the group is girl = 6C3 = 20

Therefore, number of ways that at least one member is a girl in the group of three

= 84 - 20

= 64 ways.

The ratio of money she lended is

24000 : 16000 = 3 : 2
