55 min. spaces gained in 60 min.

24/4 = 6

6/3 = 2

2/2 = 1

1/1 = 1

Hence, the odd man in the given number series is 24.

The given series 24.3, 23.1, 20.7, 17.1, 12.4 follows a pattern that
