Hence, the next number in the given series is 70.

Let the given numbers be A, B, C, D, E, F, G.

Then, A, A x 1 + 1, B x 2 + 2, C x 3 + 3, D x 4 + 4, E x 5 + 5, F x 6 + 6 are the required numbers.

Clearly, 228 is wrong.

Here the given number series is 6, 3, 3, 4.5, 10

The odd one in the given series is 10

The pattern it follows is

6 x 0.5 = 3

3 x  1  = 3

3 x 1.5 = 4.5

4.5 x 2 = 9
