Lithoshpere are composed of rocks in the crust and upper mantle that behave as brittle solids. The lithosphere is Earth's outermost layer.

Compressions and Rarefactions are characteristic of Longitudinal waves.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will confer a doctorate on former sprint queen PT Usha, who missed a medal by a whisker at the 1984, Los Angeles Olympics.
