Arithmetical Reasoning Questions

The distance around a shape or figure I called Perimeter. A perimeter is a path that surrounds a two-dimensional shape.

A straight line segment whose endpoints both lie on the circle is called as chord. A chord that passes through the center of a circle is a diameter.

We know that a negative value plus a positive value always count backward and the sign depends on the bigger value sign.

When you are adding a negative number to a positive number, then the value counts backward and takes the sign of the biggest number.

For example::

Adding -5 and +2

-5 + 2 = -3 (big number is 5 and its sign is '-')

Adding -3 and  +5

+5 + (-3) = 5 - 3 = +2(big number is 5 and it has sign '+').  

Let x be number of houses and y be colors.

on the basis of question
x = 4y+1
x = 5(y-1)
on solving these 2 equations x = 25

The letter A has a vertical axis of symmetry.

The letter C has a horizontal axis of symmetry.

The letter O has more than one axis of symmetry, including vertical axis and horizontal axis.

A square and a rectangle each have 4 right (90 deg) angles. 

Both square and rctangle have 4 sides and 4 angles, but the only difference is square is a rectangle with all sides equal.

Given that 50 paise and 25 paise coins are in the ratio of 7:3, they can be either 7 & 3 or 14 & 6.
As total 20 coins also includes Rs. 1 coins, so 50 paise & 25 paise coins are 7 & 3 respectively & Rs. 1 coins are 10.
Total amount = (100x10) + (50x7) + (25x3)=1425 paise or Rs.14.25.
