An Element is a pure substance of one type of atom. In chemistry, any material such as carbon, hydrogen, iron, or oxygen that cannot be broken down into more fundamental substances is nothing but an element.

The first Indian woman to ever win an Olympic medal for India was Karnam Malleswari who won a bronze medal at the Sydney Olympics 2000 in the Women's 69 kg category in Weightlifting.

3. Sakshi Malik became the first Indian woman to win a medal in Wrestling. She won the Bronze medal in Women's 58 kg freestyle wrestling in 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio.

4. P.V. Sindhu became the first ever Indian woman to win the Silver medal at the Olympics, by reaching the Badminton final at Rio Olympics 2016.
