Sending irrelevant messages or the same message to a large number of users over the internet for the purpose of advertisement or malicious intent is called as spamming and that content is called as SPAM or JUNK.

The given series is 8, 14, 24, 60, 180

8 x 1.5 = 12 (NOT 14)

12 x 2 = 24

24 x 2.5 = 60

60 x 3 = 180

Hence, the odd man in the given series is 12.

Let principal = P, Then, S.I.= P and Time = 8 years

We know that S.I. = PTR/100

Rate = [(100 x P)/ (P x 8)]% = 12.5% per annum.
