A Contact force is a force applied to a body by another body that is in contact with it. Contact force acts on a point of direct contact between the two objects. This force can either be continuous as a continuous force or can be momentary in the form of an impulse. Contact force is governed by Newton’s Laws.

Examples :: Contact force is responsible for most of the interactions we experience in the daily life.

1. Writing your name with a pen, pushing a car up a hill, lifting an object, etc...

2. Kicking a ball, hammering a nail, etc...

are some of the everyday examples where contact forces are at work.

In the first case, the force is continuously applied by the person on the car or pen or an object while in the second case the force is delivered in a short impulse.

Contact forces are often decomposed into orthogonal components

one perpendicular to the surface in contact called the normal force, and

one parallel to the surface in contact, called the friction force.

Laconic means using only few words in his/her speech or while talking.

In the given options, talkative, wordy and long are all opposite to laconic and brief is the only word which is similar in meaning of laconic.

Cost price = Rs. 30

Area of trapezium = 1/2 x (Sum of parallel sides) x (Distance between Parallel sides)

A Disease which spreads by contact are Contagious.

Infectious diseases : These are caused by microscopic germs such as bacteria or viruses that get into the body and cause problems. Some but not all infectious diseases spread directly from one person to another. Infectious diseases that spread from person to person are said to be contagious. Some infections spread to people from an animal or insect, but are not contagious from another human. 

Contagious diseases such as the flu, colds, or strep throat spread from person to person in several ways. One way is through direct physical contact, like touching or kissing a person who has the infection. Another way is when an infectious microbe travels through the air after someone nearby sneezes or coughs.

Fatal Diseases : Diseases leading to failure or disaster.

Incurable Diseases : Diseases of a sick person not able to be cured.
