In each term second two numbers are multiples of the first number. But in 4-15-24 15 is not multiple of 4.

Clearly, alternatively we add and subtract 10% of a term to obtain the next term of the series.
Thus, 10000 + (10% of 10000)= 11000;
11000 - (10% of 11000) = 9900;
 9900 + (10% of 9900)  = 10890;
10890 - (10% of 10890) = 9801.
 9801 + (10% of 9801)  = 9801+980 = 10781.
So, missing term = 10890- (10% of 10890)= 9801.

The given number series is 3, 12, 39, 120, 364

$$\begin{gathered} 3 \\ 3 + 32 = 3 + 9 = 12 \\ 12 + 33 = 12 + 27 = 39 \\ 39 + 34 = 39 + 81 = 120 \\ 120 + 35 = 120 + 243 = 363 (Not 364) \end{gathered}$$

 = (1 + 2 + 3 + .... + 100) - (1 + 2 + 3 + ...... + 50)

 = It is in the form of n(n+1)2 series summation

= n1 = 100 , n2 = 50

=100100+12 - 5050+12

 =  (5050 - 1275) = 3775

Here the given series is 128, 32, 14, 2.66, 0.88

128 / 4 = 32

32 / 3 = 10.666

10.666 / 4 = 2.666

2.666 / 3 = 0.888

Hence, the odd man in the given number series is 14.
