The caste system in India divides Hindus into four main categories - Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and the Shudras. The main castes were further divided into about 3,000 castes and 25,000 sub-castes, each based on their specific occupation.

Rocket specialist K. Sivan has been appointed as new Chairman of India's space agency ISRO for a three-year term. He replaces current ISRO Chairman A.S. Kiran Kumar, whose term ends January 14, 2018.

• He is currently Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Trivandrum.

• His expertise gave ISRO ability to send 104 satellites in a single mission.

The GST Council on Nov 10th 2017 cut tax rates of over 175 products that were in the highest tax slab of 28% under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime.  

Currently only 50 items have been left in the 28% category out of a total of 227 items that were present earlier.

Incorporation is a legal process that enables the formation of a local government and divides a state into separate counties with their own leaders.
