An excise or excise tax or excise duty is a type of tax charged on goods produced within the country (as opposed to customs duties, charged on goods from outside the country). It is a tax on the production of a good. This tax is now known as the Central Value Added Tax (CENVAT).

An operating system has three main functions:

(1) manage the computer's resources, such as the central processing unit, memory, disk drives, and printers,

(2) establish a user interface, and

(3) execute and provide services for applications software.

A nitrogenous base, or nitrogen-containing base, is an organic molecule with a nitrogen atom that has the chemical properties of a base. The main biological function of a nitrogenous base is to bond nucleic acids together. A nitrogenous base owes its basic properties to the lone pair of electrons of a nitrogen atom.

In DNA, four bases have been found. They are

1. Adenine (A),

2. Guanine (G),

3. Cytosine (C) and

4. Thymine (T).

The first three of these bases are found in RNA also but the fourth which is Uracil (U) is absent in it.

RNA contains cytosine and uracil as pyrimidine bases while DNA has cytosine and thymine.

A procedure or method called Checks and Balances stops one branch of government from becoming too powerful.

• In the United States, there are three branches of government: The Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.

• Each has its own responsibilities and at the same time they work together to make the country run smoothly and to assure that the rights of citizens are not ignored or disallowed.

• There is a clear separation of powers between them.

• Checks and Balances limit the power within each branch.

• Each branch can stop and/or override processes within other branches in manners that are outlined in federal laws, regulations, and the constitution.

• This way, their powers are balanced because the branches of government have the responsibility to check each other.
