Energy can be either a potential energy or a kinetic energy.

The energy associated with motion is called Kinetic energy and it can be stored. And the energy associated with position is called Potential energyand it cannot be stored.

Let the monthly salary of Shankar be = Rs.x
Amount invested on expenditure = 25% = x/4;
Remaning amount = 3x/4;
Amount invested on children education = 20% i.e = 3x/20;
Remaining amount = 3x/4 - 3x/20 = 3x/5;
Remaining amount invested in three different schemes i.e is 1/3(3x/5)
=> x/5 = 5600
Therefore x = 28000
Hence, Monthly salary of Shankar is Rs. 28,000.

Given 10 men take 15 days to complete a work

=> Total mandays = 15 x 10 = 150

Let the work be 150 mandays.

=> Now 37 men can do 150 mandays in 150/37 =~ 4 days

The owner first lost Rs. 100 in cash, but after the thief bought Rs. 60 goods, he get back that Rs. 100 but he lost Rs. 60 value of goods and Rs. 40 in change.

So, a total of 60 + 40 = Rs. 100 the owner lose.
