Chemical Compounds with stronger intermolecular forces have higher boiling points.

The order of strengths of intermolecular forces is:

 London dispersion < dipole-dipole < H-bonding

${\text{Methane (CH}}_{\mathrm{4)}}$ — London dispersion forces

${\text{Dimethyl ether (CH}}_3{\text{OCH}}_{\mathrm{3)}}$ — dipole-dipole attractions

${\text{Methanol (CH}}_3\text{OH)}$ — hydrogen bonding

Therefore, ${\text{Methanol -}}^{}$${\text{CH}}_3\text{OH}$$\text{with H-Bonding have highest Boiling Point among the given chemical compounds.}$

The given series is 1000, 1012, 988, 1024, 978

1012 - 24 = 988

988 + 36 = 1024

1024 - 48 = 976 (Not 978)

Indeterminate are those,which mathematics can’t determine.

Because we don’t actually know which one is the exact answer for this due to having lots of results for this.

• Let us think by this analogy that,

0 / 1 = 0

0 / 2 = 0

we can say 0 / n = 0 from this we can write, 0/0 = 0

• Again, another analogy,(from limiting concept of 1/0 = infinity)

1 / 0 = +∞ or -∞

2 /0 = +∞ or -∞

Now, this is not the final answer because we have included 0 in hundreds place. so we have to remove the sum of all numbers that starts with 0.

This is nothing but the sum of all 2 digits numbers formed by 1 2 3 4 5. Because 0 at first place makes it a 2 digit number.

So the sum for this is 11 x 4 x (1+2+3+4+5).
=660

So, the final answer is 33300-660 = 32640
