The Chief Election Commissioner Shri. O.P. Rawat, along with theElection Commissioners Shri Sunil Arora and Shri Ashok Lavasa launched a mobile app, called ‘Cvigil,’ on July 3, 2018, for citizens to report any violation of the model code of conduct during elections.

“cVIGIL" is a user-friendly and easy to operate Android application.

The Constitution of India makes special provisions for the administration of the tribal dominated areas in four states viz. Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram. As per article 244 and 6th Schedule, these areas are called “Tribal Areas“, which are technically different from the Scheduled Areas under fifth schedule.
