K.K. Venugopal is the new Attorney General of India since 2017.

Kottayan Katankot Venugopal, known generally to us as K. K. Venugopal is an eminent Indian constitutional lawyer and a senior advocate in the Supreme Court of India.

He was preceded by Mukul Rohatgi.

The Original Constitution had classified the Fundamental Rights under  seven groups:

a) Right to Equality

b) Right to Freedom

c) Right against Exploitation

d) Right to Freedom of Religion

e) Cultural and Educational Rights

f) Right to Property

g) Right to Constitutional Remedies

   Now that the Right to Property has been eliminated by the 44th Amendment Act, only six groups now remains.
