Antarctica is surrounded on all sides by water. The Indian, Pacific and Atlantic Oceans surround it on all sides. These three Oceans all meet at Antarctica. The three oceans are collectively called the Southern Ocean.

This is the area located south of 50° latitude.

Second ozone hole was detected over Tibet in the year 2006. 

Ozone is a form of oxygen, acts as a high-altitude atmospheric screen against cancer-causing ultraviolet light.

The main source of these halogens in the stratosphere is photodissociation of man made halocarbon refrigerants, solvents, propellants and CFC's.

The Indian Ocean consists of one gyre, the Indian Ocean (Majid) Gyre, which exists mostly in the Southern Hemisphere. It is named after Ahmad Bin Majid, the 15th-century Arab mariner. Following shows the Oceans and their respective Gyres
