A complex sentence is a sentence that contains an independent clause and one or more dependent clauses.

If two clauses are connected with a coordinating conjunction, it's a compound sentence.

If two clauses are connected with a subordinating conjunction, it's a complex sentence.

The minimum amount of energy required for a particular reactants to convert into products and is called as Activation Energy.

This activation complex is also termed as Transition State because according to Transition State Theory at transition state the existing bonds tend to increase in length and become weaken while, the new forming bonds tend to decrease in length and start becoming stronger.

Coal is chemically complex fuel. Whenever it is burned, gases are given off and particles of ash, called "fly ash," are released. Release of sulfur from burning into the air.
