While a test plan is being created, risks involved in testing the product are to be taken into consideration along with possibility of their occurrence and the damage they may cause along with solutions; if any. Detailed study of this is called as Risk Analysis.

Some of the risks could be:

New Hardware 

New Technology 

New Automation Tool 

Sequence of code delivery 

Availability of application test resources 

Identify and describe the risk magnitude indicators: High, Medium and Low

High magnitude means the effect of the risk would be very high and non-tolerable. Company may face severe loss and its reputation is at risk. Must be tested.

Medium: tolerable but not desirable. Company may suffer financially but there is limited liability or loss of reputation. Should be tested.

Low: tolerable. Little or no external exposure. Little or no financial loss. Company’s reputation unaffected. Might be tested.

Three perspectives of Risk Assessment: Effect, Cause and Likelihood.

To assess risk by Effect, identify a condition, event or action and try to determine its impact.

To asses risk by Cause is opposite of by Effect. Begin by stating an undesirable event or condition and identify the set of events that could have permitted the condition to exist.

To asses risk by Likelihood is to determine the probability that a requirement will not be satisfied.

Hindi writer Krishna Sobti has been chosen for this years Jnanpith Award for her contribution to Indian Literature. This is 53rd Jnanpith Award for India.

Light travels Faster than Sound.

Light :

1. Light doesn't require a medium to travel.

2. It travels in the vaccum with the speed of 1,86,000 miles per second.

Sound:

1. Sound rquire a medium.

2. It travels in the Air with the speed of 340 meters per second.

3. It travels Faster in Water than in Air.

4. It travels Faster in Steel than in Water.

Consciousness is the state or quality of awareness, or, of being aware of an external object or something within oneself.

Day dreaming, Meditation, Intoxication, Sleep and Hypnosis are all types of altered states of consciousness . In al these states, a person's state of conscious is altered but he has consciousness.

The Von Hippel Award, the Materials Research Society's highest honor, recognizes those qualities most prized by materials scientists and engineers—brilliance and originality of intellect, combined with vision that transcends the boundaries of conventional scientific disciplines. The Von Hippel Award is named after Arthur von Hippel (1898-2003), who was a pioneer in the study of dielectrics, semiconductors, ferromagnetics and ferroelectrics.

Eminent Scientist and Bharat Ratna Prof C.N.R. Rao was awarded 2017 Von Hippel Award. He is first Indian and first Asian to win this honour. The award will be presented to Prof Rao for his interdisciplinary contributions to development of novel functional materials, including nanomaterials, graphene, superconductivity, 2D materials and colossal magnetoresistance at Boston in November 2017.
