Mutex is the short form for ‘Mutual Exclusion object’. A mutex allows multiple threads for sharing the same resource. The resource can be file. A mutex with a unique name is created at the time of starting a program. A mutex must be locked from other threads, when any thread that needs the resource. When the data is no longer used / needed, the mutex is set to unlock.

Prokaryotic cells lack a nucleus and do not have an extensive system of interior membranes. They are encased in a cell wall and many contain external structures such as a capsule, flagellum, or pili. Prokaryotes – have a relatively uniform interior that is not subdivided by internal membranes.

A nitrogenous base, or nitrogen-containing base, is an organic molecule with a nitrogen atom that has the chemical properties of a base. The main biological function of a nitrogenous base is to bond nucleic acids together. A nitrogenous base owes its basic properties to the lone pair of electrons of a nitrogen atom.

In DNA, four bases have been found. They are

1. Adenine (A),

2. Guanine (G),

3. Cytosine (C) and

4. Thymine (T).

The first three of these bases are found in RNA also but the fourth which is Uracil (U) is absent in it.

RNA contains cytosine and uracil as pyrimidine bases while DNA has cytosine and thymine.

ROM stands for read-only-memory.

It's used to store the start-up instructions for a computer, also known as the firmware.

Most modern computers use flash-based ROM. It is part of the BIOS chip, which is located on the motherboard.
