Enzymes are protein macromolecules. Enzymes are almost always made of proteins only. Proteins are large biopolymer molecules that are made up of repeating monomer units called amino acids. There are 20 different common amino acids that make up proteins like enzymes. Of these, nine amino acids are essential, which means you must get them from your diet.

Enzymes catalyze chemical reactions in biological systems. This means that they speed up the rate of the reaction.

Rani ki Vav meaning the Queen’s Stepwell is an archaeological site in the state of Gujarat. Beauitfully structured, the site has been included in the list of international heritage sites by UNESCO. With the help of the ambitious project, The Scottish Ten, Rani ki Vav is among the five heritage sites that would be recreated digitally for managment and conservation.

The construction of the world’s largest optical telescope has started in northern Chile, which is expected to begin operating in 2024. The Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) is being built by the European Southern Observatory (ESO) and will have a main mirror that is 39m in diameter. The telescope will be positioned on top of Cerro Armazones – a 3046-metre long mountain Chile. It will tackle a wide range of scientific challenges, including probing Earth-like exoplanets for signs of life, studying the nature of dark energy and dark matter, and observing the universe’s early stages to explore humans’ origins.
