Members of Congress has five main functions:

1. lawmaking,

2. representing the people,

3. performing oversight,

4. helping constituents, and

5. educating the public.

Arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart to the tissues, except for pulmonary arteries, which carry blood to the lungs for oxygenation (usually veins carry deoxygenated blood to the heart but the pulmonary veins carry oxygenated blood as well).

A colon is used to connect two sentences when the second sentence expands, illustrates, explains, summarizes, or sharpens the first. Both sentences should be complete, and their content should be very closely related.

Example:

This girl has two favorite hobbies: watching movies and seeing how long she can hold her breathe.

Business fluctuations refer to the ups and downs in overall business activity measured by changes in national​ income, employment and the price level.

In a parliamentary system, the members of the cabinet are drawn from the legislative branch.
