'Although rain was drenching the players the players still finished the game' is the correct sentence in which an adverb clause is underlined. This adverb clause starts with a subordinating conjunction 'although' and contains a subject 'rain' and the verb is 'was drenching'. The adverb clause changes the verb 'finished' in the main clause.

Law of Octaves states that "If the chemical elements are arranged according to increasing atomic weight, those with similar physical and chemical properties occur after each interval of seven elements." When you compress or stretch a spring, as soon as the stress is relieved, the spring attains its normal shape instantly. Its Elastic potential energy helps it do so. Generally, these elastic substances follow the Hooke’s law.

According to this Law, the force needed to change the shape of spring is proportional to the displacement of the spring. The displacement referred here is how far the spring is compressed or stretched from its normal shape. Mathematically, Hook’s Law can be summarised as F= – k x. Here ‘k’ is the spring constant and ‘x’ is the displacement.

Infectious diseases : These are caused by microscopic germs such as bacteria or viruses that get into the body and cause problems. Some but not all infectious diseases spread directly from one person to another. Infectious diseases that spread from person to person are said to be contagious. Some infections spread to people from an animal or insect, but are not contagious from another human. 

Contagious diseases such as the flu, colds, or strep throat spread from person to person in several ways. One way is through direct physical contact, like touching or kissing a person who has the infection. Another way is when an infectious microbe travels through the air after someone nearby sneezes or coughs.

Fatal Diseases : Diseases leading to failure or disaster.

Incurable Diseases : Diseases of a sick person not able to be cured.
