.Net allows developers to write program logic in at least 25 languages. The classes written in one language can be used by other languages in .Net. This service of .Net is possible through CTS which ensure the rules related to data types that all language must follow. It provides set of types that are used by all .NET languages and ensures .NET language type compatibility.

The basic difference between ASP and ASP.NET is that ASP is interpreted; whereas, ASP.NET is compiled. This implies that since ASP uses VBScript; therefore, when an ASP page is executed, it is interpreted. On the other hand, ASP.NET uses .NET languages, such as C# and VB.NET, which are compiled to Microsoft Intermediate Language (MSIL).

If you create an Aggregate with more than 16 characteristics, then we call that aggregate as FLAT Aggregate. When an aggregate is active then new data is not available for reporting,These aggregates are called Flat Aggregates.

The 2 editors are se38 and se80 both have the abap editor in place. In se38 you can go create programs and view online reports and basically do all thedevelopmet of objects in this editor. In se80 ( object navigator) there are additional features such as creating packages,module pool , function group ,classes, programs ( where you can create ur programs) and BSP applications .

There are some differences:

COBOL II supports structured programming by using in line Performs and explicit scope terminators. It introduces new features (EVALUATE, SET. TO TRUE, CALL BY CONTEXT, etc). It permits programs to be loaded and addressed above the 16-megabyte line .  It does not support many old features (READY TRACE, REPORT-WRITER, ISAM, etc.). It offers enhanced CICS support.
