A) 15 h B) 16 h
C) 8 h D) 20 h

Answer & Explanation Answer: B) 16 h

Explanation:

If t1 and t2 are the upstream and down stream times. Then time taken in still water is given by

Q:

A train overtakes two girls who are walking in the  opposite direction in which the train  is going at the rate of 3 km/h and 6km/h and passes them completely in 36 seconds and 30 seconds respectively. The length of the train is:

A) 120m B) 150m
C) 125m D) None of these

Answer & Explanation Answer: B) 150m

Explanation:

Let the length of the train e x meter, and let the speed of train be y km/h, then

x=y+3×518×36   --------(1)   and

x=y+6×518×30  ---------(2)

From eq (1) and (2), we get

y = 12 km/h

Therefore,  x=(y+3)×518×36   =>  x= 150 m

Q:

Relation Between Efficiency and Time

A is twice as good a workman as B and is therefore able to finish a piece of work in 30 days less than B.In how many days they can complee the whole work; working together?

Answer

Ratio of times taken by A and B = 1 : 2.

The time difference is (2 - 1) 1 day while B take 2 days and A takes 1 day.

If difference of time is 1 day, B takes 2 days.

If difference of time is 30 days, B takes 2 x 30 = 60 days.

So, A takes 30 days to do the work.

A's 1 day's work = 1/30

B's 1 day's work = 1/60

(A + B)'s 1 day's work = 1/30 + 1/60 = 1/20

A and B together can do the work in 20 days.

Q:

What are your goals for the next five years / ten years?

Answer

The best way to respond to the interview question "What are your goals for the future?"

Don't discuss your goals for returning to school or having a family, they are not relevant and could knock you out of contention for the job. Rather, you want to connect your answer to the job you are applying for. Examples of good responses include:

=> My long-term goals involve growing with a company where I can continue to learn, take on additional responsibilities, and contribute as much of value as I can.

=> I see myself as a top performing employee in a well-established organization, like this one. I plan on enhancing my skills and continuing my involvement in (related) professional associations.

=> Once I gain additional experience, I would like to move on from a technical position to management.

=> In the XYZ Corporation, what is a typical career path for someone with my skills and experiences?
