Given number series is 9 17 11 19 13 

Here the pattern is

• 9

• 9 + 8 = 17

• 17 - 6 = 11

• 11 + 8 = 19

• 19 - 6 = 13

• 13 + 8 = 21

• 21 - 6 = 15

• 15 + 8 = 23

Let the sum be Rs.P.then
P(1+R/100)^3=6690…(i) and P(1+R/100)^6=10035…(ii)
On dividing,we get (1+R/100)^3=10025/6690=3/2.
Substituting this value in (i),we get:
P*(3/2)=6690 or P=(6690*2/3)=4460
Hence,the sum is rs.4460.

The given number series 100, 101, 97, 105, 90

100 + 1^2 = 101

101 - 2^2 = 97

97 + 3^2 = 106 ( not 105)

106 - 4^2 = 90

Hence, the odd man in the given series is 105.

The above given sequence follows a pattern that,
