Let the heights of Cat, Table and Turtle be C, T & R respectively.

From the above given figure,

C + T - R = 170 ......(a)

R + T - C = 130 ......(b)

Adding above eqns (a) & (b), we get

2T = 300

T = 150 cm

Hence, the height of the table is 150 cm.

The answer is 'mare' because a "mare’s nest" doesn't exist just like "hen's teeth" don't exist.

The horizontal lines are AK, BJ, CI, DH and EG i.e. 5 in number.
The vertical lines are AE, LF and KG i.e. 3 in number.

Let the capacity of the pot be 'P' litres.
Quantity of milk in the mixture before adding milk = 4/9 (P - 8)
After adding milk, quantity of milk in the mixture = 6/11 P.
6P/11 - 8 = 4/9(P - 8)
10P = 792 - 352 => P = 44.

The capacity of the pot is 44 liters.
