Peacekeeping is flexible and over the past two decades has been deployed in many configurations. There are currently 14 UN peacekeeping operations deployed on four continents.Today's multidimensional peacekeeping operations are called upon not only to maintain peace and security, but also to facilitate the political process, protect civilians, assist in the disarmament, demobilization and reintegration of former combatants; support the organization of elections, protect and promote human rights and assist in restoring the rule of law.

UN Peacekeeping operations assist in moving state out of conflict towards peace but doesn’t assist a losing state in war.

There is no court fee payable when a matter is filed in a Lok Adalat. 

Ninth Schedule says that the article mentioned in this are immune from judicial review. It is for the larger good of the society, the government cannot be challenged in the court for his actions. Ninth Schedule was added to the Constitution by First Constitutional Amendment, 1951.In a landmark ruling on 11th January 2007, the Supreme Court ruled that all laws (including those in the Ninth Schedule) would be open to judicial review, if they violated the basic structure of the Constitution.
