Adi Shankara or Shankara, was an early 8th century Indian philosopher and the ologian who consolidated the doctrine of Advaita Vedanta.
He is credited with unifying and establishing the main currents of thought in Hinduism. It is with his teacher Govinda, that Shankara studied Gaudapadiya Karika, as Govinda was himself taught by Gaudapada.

Gypsies are believed to have arrived in Europe from northern India in the 1400s. They were called Gypsies because Europeans thought they came from Egypt. This ethnic minority is made up of distinct groups called “tribes” or “nations.” Most of the Gypsies in German-occupied Europe belonged to the Sinti and Roma tribes.

Romani (romani ćhib) Romani, or Romany, is an Indo-Aryan language spoken by about 5-6 million Roma people throughout Europe and the USA. The largest concentrations of Roma people live in Turkey, Spain and Romania. In English these people are often called Gypsies.
