Woodland tribes lived in wigwams and longhouses. Wigwams are round, wooden-framed structures, covered in bark. Only one familylived in a wigwam. Longhouses are made the same way as wigwams except they are rectangular, instead of round. They have a long hallway with rooms on both sides. Several related families shared a longhouse.

Longhouse Commonly lived in by entire Native American families in the Eastern Territories pre-colonization.

The Periyar Sanctuary covers an area of 777sq km. It was established in 1949. Elephants , Gaurs, leopards, solth bear, sambhars, barking deer, wild dogs, wild boars, black Nilgiri langur and water birds can be seen in this sanctuary.

A big bed of rock salt with the top portion of the bed containing potash (though not the variety used as ferilizer) has been discovered in Thar Desert at a depth of 100 metres. A massive belt of lead and zinc has been found in the Agucha area, while gold bearing rocks have been discovered in the Tuensang district of Nagaland.

The area of the four states approximately, are as follows : Madhya pradesh 443000 sq km; Rajasthan 342000 sq km; Uttar pradesh 294000 sq km.

Kandla is Tidal port, Kolkata Haldia is  a  riverine  port,  Tuticorin  is  a river  port,  Marmagao  is  in  Goa,  is situated   on   estuary   on   eastern coast of India. Delta formation and estuary    formation    take    place mostly  on  western  coast  and  Goa is in western coast. 

The river which starts flowing from Himalayas on the North to southwards to empty in the Arabian sea is Indus River.

The National Survey and Mapping Organization of the country under the Department of Science & Technology is The Survey of India. It was founded by The East India Company in the year 1767, head quartered in Dehradun.

The East India Company appointed James Rennell to survey the Bengal Presidency in 1767.
