Federalism ::

Federalism is a system based upon democratic rules and institutions in which the power to govern is shared between national and provincial/state governments, creating what is often called a federation.

Federalism is a political concept in which a group of members are bound together with a governing representative head. 

Federalism enables the state and the national government to share power.

The sources of state power are specifically outlined in the Tenth Amendment of the Bill of Rights.
When the Constitution was first proposed, many people were concerned about the federal government become too powerful. A group known as the anti-federalists pushed for a way to legally set aside certain rights and powers to individual states.

This amendment was added to satisfy the anti-federalists who were concerned that the Constitution would grant the federal government unlimited power.

The Tenth Amendment states that all powers that are not specifically given to the federal government are reserved to individual states.

Majuli or Majoli is a river island in the Brahmaputra River, Assam and in 2016 it became the first island to be made a district in India.

The Constitution lists 27 expressed powers of Congress. It include power to declare war, levy taxes, regulate commerce and currency.

The power to establish rules to allow foreign-born immigrants to become citizens of the United States

The power to make rules for bankruptcies

The power to punish counterfeiters

The power to set up a national post office

The power to provide for copyrights and patents to protect the work of inventors and artists

The power to organize all federal courts below the Supreme Court

The power to punish pirates

The power to hire pirates to attack foreign enemies

The power to make rules to regulate the conduct of the armed forces

The power to call out the militia to defend the country from invasions or insurrections

The power to organize and discipline the militiary

The power to govern the federal capital (Washington, DC)

The power to acquire lands from the states for use by the federal government

The power to make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing powers.

Legislative branch is made of two houses. 

1. Congress - the Senate and

2. House of Representatives.

Senate- composed of 100 senators two for each states - Vice President of USA is president of Senate.

House of Representatives - The House of Representatives is made up of 435 elected members, divided among the 50 states in proportion to their total population.

The Planning Commission was an institution in the Government of India started by Jawaharlal Nehru, The First Prime Minister of Independent India, in the year 1950. Later, this was replaced by NITI Aayog in 2015 by now and than Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals by fostering the involvement of State Governments of India in the economic policy-making process.

NITI Aayog means National Institute for Transforming India. Narendra Modi is the Chairman of NITI Aayog.
