The preamble to the constitution does not specify providing for economic equity.

The Bill of Rights established the rights of citizens. It is also called as Declaration of rights or Charter of rights. It is a list of most important rights to the citizens of a country.

Members of Congress has five main functions:

1. lawmaking,

2. representing the people,

3. performing oversight,

4. helping constituents, and

5. educating the public.

Judicial branch is one among the three branches of the government. 

Supreme court, the magistrate (local) and municipal (city) courts are there in the judicial branch.

The Judicial branch interprets the laws.

One of the thing that progressive support would be: Direct election of senators.

The progressive wanted this so they could the candidate based on the person and not the party.
Direct election of senators will make it easier for them to elect the person that represent their value for the position.

The current Union Minister of Railways in India 2019 is Piyush Goyal. He is also holding the Ministry of Finance for temporary.
