First we need to create an instance of a JDBC driver or load JDBC drivers, then we need to register this driver with DriverManager class. Then we can open a connection. By using this connection , we can create a statement object and this object will help us to execute the query.

An app will be in InActive state if it is running in the foreground but is currently not receiving events. An app stays in InActive state only briefly as it transitions to a different state.

The main types of system calls are as follows:

Process Control: These types of system calls are used to control the processes. Some examples are end, abort, load, execute, create process, terminate process etc.

File Management: These types of system calls are used to manage files. Some examples are Create file, delete file, open, close, read, write etc.

Device Management: These types of system calls are used to manage devices. Some examples are Request device, release device, read, write, get device attributes etc.

Information Maintenance: These types of system calls are used to set system data and get process information. Some examples are time, OS parameters, id, time used etc.

Communications: These types of system calls are used to establish a connection. Some examples are send message, received messages, terminate etc

XAML is a markup language used to define dynamic or static UIs for .NET applications. Though Windows Vista would be used to design XAML UIs, they can be applied to Windows XP or Windows 2003 too.

XAML is similar to MVC in terms of the separation of the UI code from application logic.

XAML is bound to Windows Presentation foundation to build a UI in .NET 3.0 and Windows Vista.

XAML Features:

- XAML inherits all XML definitions and rules.

- It also contains HTML, XHTML and other markup languages for UI.

- Every XAML element represents a .NET CLR class due to which working with XAML becomes simple.

- The application logic can be put in a separate file or be embedded in XAML file itself as XAML in conjunction with Windows Presentation Foundation model to provide the developers design a good UI in ASP.NET.

- XAML files get compiled to BAML files which are smaller than XAML and easier to read which make them faster to load.

The garbage collector assumes that all objects in the managed heap are garbage. It starts walking the roots and builds a graph of all objects reachable from the roots recursively. It stops when it attempts to add an object to the graph that it previously added. The graph contains the set of all objects that are reachable from the application's roots. Any object/s that is not in the graph is not accessible by the application, and is considered garbage. Collection only occurs when the heap is full. In such a case, each and every garbage object calls the Finalize method and reclaims the unused memory

A NSArray’s contents can not be modified once it’s been created whereas a NSMutableArray can be modified as needed, i.e items can be added/removed from it.

Joins are used to combine data of one or more tables. Joins should be used when there is abundant data. Joins can be LEFT, RIGHT, OUTER, INNER or even SELF JOIN. The purpose is to bind data from multiple tables without any receptivity

Windows object is top level object in Java script. It contains several other objects such as, document, history, location, name, menu bar etc., in itself. Window object is the global object for Java script that is written at client-side.
