The phalanges or a phalanx are/is digital bones in the hands and feet of most vertebrates. In primates, the thumbs and big toes have two phalanges while the other digits have three phalanges. The phalanges are classed as long bones.

The troposphere is the lowest layer of the Earth's atmosphere. The air is very well mixed and the temperature decreases with altitude. Air in the troposphere is heated from the ground up. The surface of the Earth absorbs energy and heats up faster than the air does.

Biological Control: This method is very effective. One pest is destroyed by another organism. For example the aphids are killed by lady beetle. The prickly pear is eradicted by cochineal insect. Here the advantage is, one does not use harmful chemicals which may get into the host plants.
