Let Raju's age at the time of his marriage = X years

Then from given data

=> X + 8 = 6/5 X

X = 40.

Since got married 8 years ago, his present age  = 48

His sister is 10 years younger => 48 - 10 = 38 years.

Given that length and area, so we can find the breadth.

 Length  x  Breadth = Area 

 => 20  x  Breadth = 680 

=> Breadth = 34 feet 

Area to be fenced = 2B + L = 2 (34) + 20 = 88 feet

Let 1 man's 1 day work = x and 1 woman's 1 day work = y.
Then, 4x + 6y = 1/8 and 3x + 7y = 1/10
Solving these two equations, we get:
x = 11/400 and y = 1/400
10 woman's 1 day work = (1/400 x 10) = 1/40.

Hence, 10 women will complete the work in 40 days.

Given Principal amount P = Rs. 10

 Time T = 4 months

 Rate of interest R = 3 ps

 Interest I = PTR/100 = (10 x 4 x 3)/100 = 12/10 = 1.2 paise.

Copper in 4 kg = 4/5 kg          and      Zinc in 4 kg = 4 x (4/5) kg

Copper in 5 kg = 5/6 kg          and      Zinc in 5 kg = 5 x (5/6) kg

Therefore, Copper in mixture = 45+56=4930 kg

and  Zinc in the mixture = 165+256=22130kg

Therefore the required ratio = 49 : 221

It is the same as a person with 20 years more age  replaces an existing person of the group ( or village)

Since the total age of the village having n persons, is being increased by 20 years and the average age of village is being increased by 1 year, hence there are total 20 people in the village.

Alternatively :  ( n x 42 ) + 20 = ( n x 43 )

                          => n=20

The rate of percent R is given by,
