Given letters are k, l, m, n, o = 5

number of letters to be in the words = 3

Total number of words that can be formed from these 5 letters taken 3 at a time without repetation of letters = 5P3 ways.

⇒ 5P3 = 5 x 4 x 3 = 60 words.

Thus after arranging the letters as per English alphabetical series; we get; Thus 4th letter from the left end will be K.

Let the average of 8 men be x. Age of new man be N.
Total age of 8 men = 8x
⇒ x + 4 = ((8x – 30) + N)/8
⇒ 8x + 32 = 8x – 30 + N
⇒ N = 32 + 30
⇒ N = 62

Let the number be 3p and 5p

ATQ,

8p = 2 x 48

p = 96/8

p = 12

The numbers are 36 and 60.

Hence, the product of the numbers = 36 x 60 = 2160.

B.G. =(T.D.)2/ P.W.      

       = Rs.[(110x110)/ 1100]

       = Rs. 11.

B.D.= (T.D. + B.G.) = Rs. (110 + 11) = Rs. 121.

Let father's age be x year and son's age be y year.

According to question,

2(x+y) = 8y _______(I)

and (x+y)/2 = 30

=> x+y = 60 years__________(II)

From equation (I) and (II)

8 y = 120

y = 15 years,

Hence x = 45 years.

Let the cost price of A as well as B is 100 Rs.
Then, ATQ:
Selling Price of A = 100+40 = 140
And Selling Price of B = 140 - (140*0.2) = 140 - 28 = 112
Total selling price = 140+112 = 252 Rs.
Total Cost price = Rs. 200
So by taking cost price = 100 Rs.
Total profit = 52 Rs.
Total profit will be Rs. 156 when cost price = (100/52)*156 = Rs. 300.

Mass of zinc ore = 8000 kg

Mass of metal = 60% of 8000 = 4800 kg

Mass of silver in metal = 3/4 x 4800/100 = 36 kg

Mass of zinc = 4800 - 36 = 4764 kg.
