Here the given series 28, 12, 4, 2, -2 follows a pattern that

Hence, the odd man in the given series is 2.

This sunday morning at 8:00 AM, the watch is 5 min. Slow, and the next sunday at 8:00PM it becomes 5 min 48 sec fast.  The watch gains 5+54860 min in a time of  (7×24)+12 = 180 hours. 

To show the correct time, it has to gain 5 min.

545min→180hours

5min ->

5542×180

8313hrs=72hrs+1113hrs=3days+11hrs+20min

So the correct time will be shown on wednesday at 7:20 PM

One way to deal with fractions is to convert them all to decimals. 

In this case all you would need to do is to see which is greater than 0.5.

Otherwise to see which is greater than ½, double the numerator and see if the result is greater than the denominator. In B doubling the numerator gives us 8, which is bigger than 7. 

I. 2x2 + 19x + 42 = 0

2x2 + 12x + 7x + 42 = 0

2x (x+6) + 7(x +6) = 0

(2x+7) (x+6) = 0 x = -7/2, -6 I

I. 4y2 + 43y + 30 = 0

4y2 +40y + 3y + 30 = 0

4y(y + 10) + 3(y + 10) (4y + 3)(y + 10) = 0

y = -3/4, -10

So answer is no relation.

Given number series is 9 17 11 19 13 

Here the pattern is

• 9

• 9 + 8 = 17

• 17 - 6 = 11

• 11 + 8 = 19

• 19 - 6 = 13

• 13 + 8 = 21

• 21 - 6 = 15

• 15 + 8 = 23

In each term second two numbers are multiples of the first number. But in 4-15-24 15 is not multiple of 4.
