Air pollutants are solid particles, gases, and liquid droplets in the air that can adversely affect ecosystems and the health of humans.

Major ambient air pollutants include toxic metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, benzene, particulate matter (PM), nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, carbon monoxide, and ozone. Power plants, factories, and vehicle and air traffic are the most important anthropogenic sources of air pollution.

In addition, natural sources such as wildfires and volcanic activity contribute to ambient air pollution.

The central nervous system CNS is responsible for integrating sensory information and responding accordingly.

It consists of two main components::

 1. The brain

 2. The spinal cord

The brain is the center of our thoughts, the interpreter of our external environment, and the origin of control over body movement. The brain can be divided into four main lobes: temporal, parietal, occipital and frontal.

The spinal cord serves as a conduit for signals between the brain and the rest of the body.

Air is said to be saturated when it contains the maximum content of water vapour.
