There are two major forms of democratic government.

I. Parliamentary
II. Presidential

The citizens elect the leaders in democratic government.

The main difference is legislative and executive branches.

Legislative - how laws are made

I. Parliamentary democratic government : (example - United Kingdom )

1. Parliament = Legislature (Laws)
2. Parliament controls the power
3. Head of government is a prime minister chosen by the legislature
4. Prime minister and cabinet are members of the legislature
5. Prime minister answers to the legislature (fusion of powers)
6. The government will stay in office for a specified period unless the prime minister loses support of the majority on an important vote.
7. If this occurs- the P.M. must resign and elections are held immediately.

II. Presidential democratic government : (example - United States of America)

1. The executive and legislative branches are separate bodies elected independently by the citizens.
2. Separation of Powers
3. There are checks and balances where each branch can overrule the other.
4. The president answers to the voters, not the legislature.
5. The people elect the president, and elections are held at set intervals.

Heritable variation is one of the four most important factors that affect whether natural selection can occur. These factors include

1) Heritable variation

2) Descent with modification

3) Struggle for survival, and necessarily if the others are satisfied

4) Survival of the fittest.

Heritable variation allows for possibly beneficial, negative, or even neutral mutations to get filtered during each generation by natural selection--weeding out negative mutations, passing on positive and neutral ones. Without heritable variation, species would quickly fall victim to parasites who take advantage of identical genetic material in a population and evolution would not occur.

Variation is the raw material of evolution.

Let t be the usual time. If the usual rate is 1 unit, then the unusual rate is 6/7.
Balance by the distance,
1 x t = (6/7)(t + 30)
7t = 6(t + 30)
we get t as,
t = 180 minutes = 3 hrs.

TIME is what we can measure in Years, Months, Days, Hours, Minutes and Seconds but we cannot see.

The words do, does and did often cause confusion in the English language. They are all forms of the verb to do.

It is also common to use do, does and did as auxiliary verbs (or helping verbs) together with another verb in its base form. This is used to create negative sentences, questions, or for adding emphasis.

Examples :: 

* Russel did a great job on his debut match for team.

* Did you catch the train this morning?

* When did they arrive home?

Let us assume A is the faster and B is slower, A takes 10s to finish a lap of 50 m, B takes 17s(approx) to finish a lap of 50 m.
So at 11th sec A starts his 2nd lap by the time B will be in between so that is the first time they will meet each other, at 21st sec A starts his 3rd lap by the time B will be coming back to finish his 2nd lap. So that is the second time they meet in opposite. Then at 31st sec A will start his 4th lap by the time B would not even finish 2nd lap as he take 34(2*17) sec to finish 2 laps. So at 35th sec B will start his 3rd lap by the time A will be coming back to finish his 4th lap in the half way so they will meet 3rd time. At 41st sec A will start its fifth lap by the time B will be going to finish 3rd lap in same direction. At 50th second both will complete A's 5th lap and B's 3rd lap. So they will start next lap(A's 6th and B's 4th) from the same point in same direction. And A will finish the race after completing 300m(6*50) total distance and then they wont meet opposite to each other.

So totally they met 3 times in opposite direction.

The main function of the pulmonary alveoli is to perform the transfer and exchange of gases. Here in the given options, blood is only one which is not gas.

Hence, blood is not transferred by alveoli.
