A modem is nothing but short for Modulator and Demodulator. It is used mostly for connecting to the internet.

A modem is a device or program that enables a computer to transmit data over, for example, telephone or cable lines. Computer information is stored digitally, whereas information transmitted over telephone lines is transmitted in the form of analog waves.

Radar is an object-detection system that uses radio waves to determine the range, angle, or velocity of objects. It can be used to detect aircraft, ships, spacecraft, guided missiles, motor vehicles, weather formations, and terrain.

Radio waves from the transmitter reflect off the object and return to the receiver, giving information about the object's location and speed.

Let the speed of the trains be x and y respectively

Relative speed= x + y
Time taken to cross each other = 33 s
=> 47x+31yx+y= 33
=> (47x + 31 y) = 33(x + y)

Given SD makes 1/4 th of the total fleet.
=> 8 = 1/4 (21 + x)
=> 32 = 21 + x
=> x = 11
Therefore, the company has 11 small cars.

K's 1 day's salary = 1/10
L's 1 day's salary = 1/15
Together their 1 day's salary = 1/10 + 1/15
= 3/30 + 2/30
= 5/30
= 1/6
So the money will be enough for paying them both for 6 days.
