The Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian award of the Republic of India. Instituted in 1954, the award is conferred "in recognition of exceptional service/performance of the highest order", without distinction of race, occupation, position, or sex.

The Double V Campaign was used in World War II. The purpose of the double v campaign is to fight for victory and ending segregation at home.

It was aimed at African-Americans, and it first appeared in an African-American newspaper, the Pittsburgh Courier, in 1942. The Double V Campaign worked to have a victory over racism abroad and racism in the United States.

It stood so it gave a chance for Black Americans to fight in the war so they could achieve Victory at Home and Abroad- (Civil Rights then the war in the Atlantic and Pacific).

"Glycolysis" means the splitting of glucose. The first step of the process occurs in the cytoplasm of the cell and yields a small amount of energy (measured in units of ATP) and two molecules of pyruvate.

The other steps occur in the mitochondria. It is an ongoing process as your cells have a constant need for energy.
