When combining with nonmetallic atoms, metallic atoms generally will Lose electrons and forms cations.

As the ionization energy of te metals are very low, so they can easily lose electrons and form positively charged ion called cations.

Given A alone can fill the tank of capacity 240 lit in 16 hrs.

=> A can fill in 1 hr = 240/16 = 15 lit

=> B alone can fill the tank of capacity 240 lit in 12 hrs.

=> B can fill in 1 hr = 240/12 = 20 lit

Now, (A + B) in 1 hr = 15 + 20 = 35 lit

But they are opened for 2 hrs

=> 2 x 35 = 70 lit rae filled

Remaining water to be filled in tank of 240 lit = 240 - 70 = 170 lit.

Let the original speed and time is S and T
then distance = S x T
Now the speed changes to 2/3S and T is T+20
As the distance is same
S x T = 2/3Sx(T+20)
solving this we get t = 40 minutes
=40/60 = 2/3 hour

Let the average expenditure per head be Rs. p
Now, the expenditure of the mess for old students is Rs. 44p
After joining of 15 more students, the average expenditure per head is decreased by Rs. 3 => p-3
Here, given the expenditure of the mess for (44+15 = 59) students is increased by Rs. 33
Therefore, 59(p-3) = 44p + 33
59p - 177 = 44p + 33
15p = 210
=> p = 14
Thus, the expenditure of the mess for old students is Rs. 44p = 44 x 14 = Rs. 616.

ANBC refers to Adjusted Net Bank Credit, is Net Bank Credit added to investments made by banks in non-SLR bonds (in held-to-maturity) or it is the credit equivalent of off-balance - sheet exposures, whichever is higher.

Net Bank Credit = Outstanding bank credits in India (-) Bills rediscounted with RBI/approved financial institutions.
