The Seven Years’ War, a global conflict known in America as the French and Indian War, ends with the signing of the Treaty of Paris by France, Great Britain, and Spain.

The Seven Years’ War ended with the signing of the treaties of Hubertusburg and Paris in February 1763. In the Treaty of Paris, France lost all claims to Canada and gave Louisiana to Spain, while Britain received Spanish Florida, Upper Canada, and various French holdings overseas. Substitute (2 & 4) in (1 & 3)

x = 3.5

From (1) ---> 3.5 + y = 8
=> y = 8 - 3.5 = 4.5

a + y = 14 => a = 14 - y = 14 - 4.5 => a = 9.5
From (4) ---- y + b = 8 => b = 8 - y = 8 - 4.5 = 3.5

x = 3.5
y = 4.5
a = 9.5
b = 3.5
