Given rate of wheat at cheap = Rs. 2.90/kg

Rate of wheat at cost = Rs. 3.20/kg

Mixture rate = Rs. 3/kg

Ratio of mixture = 

          2.90                              3.20

                              3

(3.20 - 3 = 0.20)            (3 - 2.90 = 0.10)

0.20 : 0.10 = 2:1

Hence, wheat at Rs. 3.20/kg be mixed with wheat at Rs. 2.90/kg in the ratio of 2:1, so that the mixture be worth Rs. 3/kg.

29 x 2 = 58
20 x 3 = 60

Therefore, the age of child is 2 years.

Given that 3x-y=27, 3x+y=243

⇒3x-y =33 , 3x+y=35

 => x-y=3, x+y=5

 => x = 4

Select a number which ocurs on two dice out of six numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). This can be done in C16, ways.

Now select two distinct number out of remaining 5 numbers which can be done in C25 ways. Thus these 4 numbers can be arranged in 4!/2! ways.

So, the number of ways in which two dice show the same face and the remaining two show different faces is 

 C16×C25×4!2!=720

ABACUS is a 6 letter word with 3 of the letters being vowels.

If the 3 vowels have to appear together, then there will 3 other consonants and a set of 3 vowels together.

These 4 elements can be rearranged in 4! Ways.

The 3 vowels can rearrange amongst themselves in 3!/2! ways as "a" appears twice.

Hence, the total number of rearrangements in which the vowels appear together are (4! x 3!)/2!

Given compound interest for 3 years = Rs. 1513.2

and simple interest for 5 years = Rs. 2400

Now, we know that  C.I = P1+R100n - 1

=> 1513.2 = P1+R1003 - 1 ...........(A)

And S.I = PTR/100

=> 2400 = P5R/100 ..................(B)

By solving (A) & (B), we get

R = 5%.

Total amount for two years =  1000×1.52=2250

 Now , interest for third year = 2250×50×1100=1125
